Using Destiny Discover for Students

Destiny Discover is the quickest way to search the Learning Commons' entire catalog of print and digital resources. Follett has added enhancements to Destiny Discover for the 2017-2018 school year. It is very important to note that Destiny Discover has replaced FollettShelf for reading Follett eBooks that students and teachers borrow from the Learning Commons' collection. The app to read Follett eBooks from our collection is Destiny Discover. It will be on all school issued iPads and is my recommendation to put on your personal tablets so you can read at home and on the go.

Download the Destiny Discover app here.

There are two purposes for this post--1.) To inform students, teachers, and parents how to use Destiny Discover to check out a Follett eBook from our collection, and 2.) To educate you about what Destiny Discover offers its users.

The easiest way for me to explain how to use Destiny Discover is by showing you via Follett's video titled Using Destiny Discover - Students. Please watch the less than four minute video to educate yourself on how Destiny Discover can help you do all of the following and probably more:

-See recently added titles to the Learning Commons.

-Search our catalog of print and digital resources by Topic.

-Check out an eBook and read it.

-Access a Collection (Ideal for when a student has a research assignment--more to come in a future post).

-View your Bookbag which houses your Check Outs, Holds, History, Favorites, and Notebook.

If you still have questions after viewing Follett's video, please leave a message in the comments below or email Mrs. Rice.
